在建筑中，“跨度”是形容两个支撑物之间一个结构组件的长度，或建筑结构两个柱之间形成的连续空间的术语，而且当我们想到这个元素时，人们不禁回忆起如 Lina Bo Bardi 的 MASP，Álvaro Siza 的98年世博会葡萄牙国家馆，和罗马万神庙的经典之作。然而，还有其他几座建筑具有这一特性，最近的项目一直在使用创新和大胆的结构来创造更多意想不到的设计。
